I’ve heard of those macaroons. I seem to remember they come in green tea flavour, amongst others. They look so perfect!

I must’ve told you Chic Murray’s famous macaroon joke? (I’ve told most people). It only works in a ‘douce’ Scots accent:

I went into a cake shop and asked the lassie behind the counter,
‘Is that a macaroon or a meringue?’
And the lassie says,
‘No, you’re right. It’s a macaroon’.

Why does your ‘previous’ link take me back to page 1? I had something to add to your recent insurance/ the poor pay more post, after something I heard on R4.

Well, I tried a few of them the other day for the first time and they were pretty good but not spectacular. If that website is to be believed though, they range all the way from nice treat to spectacular work of culinary art, so I will sample some more. It’s a hard life.
